中国中世仏教の類書である、1梁代の『経律異相』、2北朝末の『金蔵論』、3唐代の『法苑珠林』の内容と発展過程とを解明するために、まずは現存最古の宝唱撰『経律異相』を主対象とした。諸本の調査・収集を進展させることはできなかったが、訳注の作成等を行ないながら考察を進めた。1 (1)『経律異相』の編纂目的は、その序文と宝唱の伝記とによれば、同時代の類書の編纂と同様である。(2)『経律異相』の成立は、梁代における諸仏教類書の勅撰、ならびに経録、僧伝の編纂事業、および南北朝〜唐における目録、類書、経典注釈書の成立という儒仏道全ての思想・知識の統合の流れの中に位置づけられる。2 『経律異相』は、僧祐撰『釈迦譜』、・『世界記』・『法苑集』を内容的に踏襲しているのみならず、仏教知識の総合をめざす師僧祐の運動を継承するものであり、僧祐撰『弘明集』の影響も見られる(発表申請中)。(以上大概、拙論「梁代の仏教類書『経律異相』の概要と経典引用の一例」において発表。)3 『経律異相』、『金蔵論』、『法苑珠林』について、(1)篇目構成について、『法苑珠林』は伝統的な『経律異相』の枠組みを理解しつつ仏教色を濃くしている。『金蔵論』は『経律異相』とは異なり、仏教的世界観に基づく独自の篇目構成であり、一部『法苑珠林』に影響を与えている可能性がある。(2)同話の経典抄出の仕方を比較すると、三書それぞれにオリジナルと認められる点がある。したがって、最古の『経律異相』を後世の仏教類書が必ずしも踏襲しているわけではなく、また引用基となる同一の文献が存在するとは考え難い。(一部論証に関してIAHR2005において発表)(3)三書の関係を引き続き考究するため、次に『金蔵論』を主対象とする研究を計画している。
