Research on the Construction of Educational Methods in Creativity Education that Emphasize Students' Patent ; Bringing the Characteristics of an Education at a Technical College into Play

由于没有大学入学考试，技术学院的学生能够自由地产生新的想法。为了利用这一独特的属性，我们建立了一个课程，培养学生的创造力。参与该项目的学生产生的想法激发了多项专利申请。学生在五年内申请了24项专利。由于利用专利比简单地拥有专利更重要，我们通过应用这些专利理念创造了多种产品。到目前为止，我们已经成功地完成并销售了两种产品。在创造这些产品的过程中，学生们变得非常积极，并发展了他们的创造力。随着信息时代的到来，学生的潜力急剧扩大。然而，在目前的教育制度中，学生的能力没有得到体现。技术学院的教育打破了现有的体制，最大限度地发挥学生的独立思想，使潜力得以展示，并允许新一代的专利。他们的专利很可能是实用的、理想的产品和有利可图的。通过这些专利获得的部分利润由学生发明者自愿返还，这反过来又支持了其他学生的创造性活动。这样就形成了一个所谓的智力创造循环。在技术学院的氛围中，特别是在信息时代，将专利的使用结合起来的教育有助于培养学生的能力。这也使他们成为积极主动、富有创造力的学生。应用专利的技术大学教育最终将有助于日本的教育创新。

By not having an entrance examination for university, students at technical colleges are able to freely generate new ideas. In order to take advantage of this unique attribute, we have established a curriculum that fosters students' creativity. The ideas generated by students involved in this program have inspired multiple patent applications.Students have applied for 24 patents in a five-year period. Since utilizing a patent is more important than simply possessing a patent, we have created multiple products through the application of these patented ideas. Thus far, we have successfully completed and marketed two products.In the process of creating these goods, students became highly motivated and developed their creativity. The potential of students has dramatically expanded with the arrival of the information age. The capabilities of students, however, are not being demonstrated in the present educational system. In defiance of the present system, the education at a technical college makes the most of students' independent ideas, enabling demonstrations of potential and allowing a new generation of patents.Their patents are likely to be practical, ideal for products, and profitable. Part of the profit gained through these patents has been voluntarily returned by student inventors, which in turn has supported other student's creative activities. In this way, a so-called intellectual creativity cycle was formed.An education that integrates the use of patents in a technical college atmosphere, especially in the information age, helps to draws out a student's capabilities. This also allows them to become highly motivated, creative students. A technical college education that applies patents will ultimately help innovate education in Japan.
