実習協力への患者の意向および,協力の可否を検討するために説明を望む情報を明らかにする目的で調査を行った.前年度から継続している調査結果を合わせて以下に報告する.調査協力を承諾した患者会会員840名を対象に,2005年12月から2006年6月に無記名の自記式質問紙を患者会経由で配布した.内容は属性・実習協力経験・実習協力への意向・協力検討時に希望する情報等とした.対象および患者会の匿名性確保,目的外使用の禁止,回答の任意性について説明文書を明記し返信にて同意とみなした.【結果】回収数380(45.2%),有効回答数378(99.5%).平均年齢65.6(SD±11.8)才,男性41.0%,女性57.4%,入院経験者96.6%.実習協力経験実習協力経験者53.2%のうち,受け持ち患者経験者が51.7%,見学等の経験者が43.3%だった.協力経験者の多くは「喜んで協力した」と回答したが,8.0%は協力を「遠慮して断れなかった」と回答した.実習協力への意向83.8%が協力したいと回答したが,治療に専念したい等の理由から協力したくないとの回答が16.1%あった.説明を希望する情報希望する情報として最も多かった項目は「トラブル発生時の対応」(88.4%)だった.「実習協力のメリット」について,協力したくないとする者の方が有意に情報提供を求めていた.「学生の単独実施か,指導者との共同か」「実習協力のデメリット」「協力を断ったら不利益があるのか」「途中で断ることが可能か」「実習期間・時間」は,実習協力未経験者の方が有意に情報提供を求めていた.上記結果から,実習協力への患者の意向が示唆された.関連文献の分析結果から,患者が特に求める実習協力のメリット・デメリットに関する研究は稀少である.臨地実習におけるインフォームドコンセントを確立するためにも,関連領域の更なる探索が必要である.
