年代記史料の文献学的研究については、前年度までに入手した、アイニー諸年代記の諸写本の精読を続けた。その成果として、前年度に史学会大会(東京大学)で行った学会発表に基づき、学術論文「アイニーに帰せられた4年代記の成立年代と執筆意図」(『西南アジア研究』)を発表した。これは本研究における基本的課題である、歴史家アイニーの諸作品に関する文献学的考察の大枠を示したものであり、広く学会に共有されるべき基礎研究と位置づけられる。アイニー諸年代記の分析についてはさらに、彼の同時代記述を他の年代記との比較により分析し、その叙述の特色をより具体的に考察した。この考察の成果は来年度以降に公表する予定である。知識人(ウラマー)層の研究に関しては、上記の文献学的研究の結果入手した歴史家アイニーについての詳細な経歴情報を分析し、「中世アラブにおける歴史叙述行為と社会的実践:アイニーの経歴から」(イスラーム地域研究・研究会)と題する口頭発表を行った。これはアイニーという、歴史叙述行為を通じてマムルーク支配エリート層との良好な関係を取り結び、社会的地位・権力を獲得した一人の知識人についてのケーススタディーであり、本研究の中心的課題である支配エリートと知識人との結びつきを分析したものである。また、1月にはエジプト・カイロにて11日間滞在し、アラブ連盟写本研究所ほか、諸機関で史料調査を行った。その際、エジプト国立図書館の写本校訂の専門家ナグワ・ムスタファ・カーミル氏より、写本読解に関する専門的知識の提供を受けた。

The results of the previous year's National History Society Conference (University of Tokyo) were presented at the Foundation of the Society, and the academic paper "History of the Fourth Century and the Year of Establishment"("Southwest Research") was presented. The results of the study of intellectual level are related to the analysis of detailed historical information by historians, and the oral presentation of the topic "Practice of historical narrative behavior and society in the middle ages: the analysis of historical information and social practice"(Regional Research and Research Association). The topic of this research center is to analyze the relationship between knowledge and knowledge. In January, we conducted research on historical materials of various institutions.
