今年度の研究では、前年度の継続調査として、カンボジアでの窯跡調査とデータベース構築、自然科学分析をおこなった。前年度の成果をもとに、出土遺物の整理作業、分析、データベース化をおこない、アンコールにおける窯業技術の成立課程解明につとめた。現地調査は平成19年8月を中心とする約一ケ月間、カンボジアでおこなった。現地調査の主な内容は1)前年度発掘区の補足調査、2)遺物の図化、3)写真撮影、4)観察表作成である。帰国後は、データベース入力、自然科学分析を含むデータ解析と発掘調査報告書を作成した。自然科学分析は、専門のラボである、パリノ・サーヴェイ株式会社考古学研究室に委託し、炭素十四年代測定法による窯跡出土炭化材の年代測定、および樹種同定分析をおこなった。分析の結果、発掘された窯跡の年代が9世紀末から10世紀初頭である可能性が高まり、また樹種同定から、単一の森林資源を重視した窯業ではない、東南アジア独自の資源管理による窯業の展開の可能性を指摘できた。また出土遺物を分類・整理し、基本的なデータベースの構築もおこなった。さらにこれまでの研究成果と比較、検討を行い、アンコール地域における陶器生産モデルを構築した。研究の結果、アンコール朝における窯業の成立と展開は、従来欧米の研究者によって指摘されてきたような、中国人陶工の直接的関与のもとに行われたと見なすことは難しく、むしろアンコール朝による自立的、独自的な窯業の成立の可能性が高いことが明らかとなった。

This year's research is based on previous year's research, research, construction and natural science analysis. Natural Science Analysis: Entrusted by Archaeological Research Office of the Institute of Natural Science, Carbon Dating Method: Dating of Carbonized Materials Unearthed from Kilns, Identification of Species The results of the analysis show that the development of kiln traces from the end of the 9th century to the beginning of the 10th century is highly probable, and that the same tree species and forest resources are valued. Unearthed relics are classified, organized, and constructed in a basic way. The results of this study were compared, discussed, and constructed in the region of pottery production. The results of the research show that the possibility of establishing a ceramic industry is high, and the possibility of establishing a ceramic industry is high.
