報告者の平成18年度中の研究成果として最も特筆すべきことは、これまでのレーニンに関する研究をまとめた単著を刊行するめどをつけることができたことである。この著作は『未完のレーニン-<力>の思想を読む』と題され、5月10日に講談社選書メチエ・シリーズの一冊として刊行される予定である。本著作の内容の多くの部分は、報告者がこれまで雑誌等に発表してきた諸論考を元としているが、今回一冊の書物に編むにあたって、随所に大幅な改稿がなされた。本書は大枠として、レーニンの二つの著作、すなわち『何をなすべきか?』および『国家と革命』を精読するという体裁をとっているが、単に政治思想史的研究にとどまることなく、現代国家論・現代資本主義論・現代イデオロギー論といったアクチュアルな隣接諸領域についても踏み込んだ考察を行なっている。また、本書は読者への簡便性を考慮した選書シリーズの一環として刊行されるため、一般読者に対するわかり易さも考慮して書かれている。ゆえに、本書はマルクス主義思想への一種の入門書としても機能しうることが期待される。以上により、本書は古典的マルクス主義の思想についての内在的研究となっていると同時に、現代的諸課題について意義ある問題提起を行ないえている、と言えるだろう。また、報告者は2006年10月21日に社会思想史学会の第31回研究大会の<セッションA=マルクス主義の展開>において、「レーニンを再読する」と題した研究報告を行なった。同報告においては、今日レーニンの思想・ロシア革命を再検討する意義に関して、多くの社会思想研究者と意義深い意見交換を行なうことができた。
