项目摘要

「俗」文学の中の晩清写情小説について研究を展開した。写惰小説の女性像、主要作家について個別論を試みた。更に、大きなスケールとして、文学的社会的な歴史考察を通して、「易性書写」の可能性と目的を試論した。具体的には、(1)女性像論においては、男性像を兼ねて、近代文人意識における道徳的理想を判明した。晩清「救国」コンテクストのもとで、写情小説における「言志縁情」は儒家の「徳」から出発するものといえる。それに対して、近代国家の秩序を作りだしている明治二十年代に、西鶴ブームが起こり、現実を敢えて捨てて、江戸の「いき」を称賛する。こういう「徳」と「いき」の比較をとおして、二十世紀前後の中日社会文化に深く立ち入ることができる。(2)作家論の呉?人論においては、その小新聞時代、1902年の転換点、1902年以後という三つの段階をわけて検討した。呉が「情」と「徳」の間を浮沈するのは、一人の文人の心理状態の歴程だけではなく、中国文人が伝統から近代へと質的変化したときの焦燥感を明らかに示している。(3)林?論においては、林訳恋愛小説を注目して、それと晩清写情小説の関連を分析した。また、林氏が書いた長編小説及び短編小説、筆記を考察して、「情」から出発して、また「徳」に戻るという林の真意を弁明した。(4)「男」「男権社会」における「女性性」、様々な審美観による「易性書写」の目的、という二つの小テーマについて、中国文人の「文弱」の特質を社会史的に考察し、「文」(=知)と「侠}という二重理想としての中国文人の原始像を弁明した。(5)さらに、近代以後の「易性書写」の現象と、「本性書写」(女性作家群)の実現を考察する。以上のように、複雑な近代転換期における中国文人の複雑な思想歴程を弁明しようとする。それは「近代」だけではなく、古代から現代まで中国における「文」「文人」「文学」という意味を再確認する試みである。
