本研究では,目標に準拠した評価に基づく評定の結果に対する生徒の納得感に影響を与えうる要因を検討することを目的とし,以下の7点をとりあげた。すなわち,1.生徒の「評定結果の納得感」に教師の「指導と評価の説明」が直接影響しているか。2.生徒の「教師の指導と評価の説明についての受けとめ」に教師の「指導と評価の説明」が影響しているか。3.生徒の「評定結果の納得感」に生徒の「教師の指導と評価の説明についての受けとめ」が影響しているか。4.生徒の「評定結果の納得感」に教師の「指導と評価の一体化」が直接影響しているか。5.生徒の「教師の指導と評価の一体化についての受けとめ」に教師の「指導と評価の一体化」が影響しているか。6.生徒の「評定結果の納得感」に生徒の「教師の指導と評価の一体化についての受けとめ」が影響しているか。7.学校単位で見た場合,生徒の「評定結果の納得感」に,教師のつけた評定結果そのものが影響するのか。である。これらを検討するために,標本抽出の段階で,第1段階として生徒数についての確率比例抽出により中学校を抽出し,第2段階として抽出された学校の中学校第2学年に属する1学級の生徒と,その学級の本研究で扱う教科(英語)を主として担当する教師を対象とした質問紙調査を行った。上述の点を共分散構造分析の2段抽出モデルでモデル化し,対象者からの質問紙の回答データをこのモデルに当てはめることで分析した。180校抽出し,87校の中学校の87人の英語教師と彼らの指導を受けている2866人の生徒を分析の対象とした。その結果,学校単位で見たときに,上記の2,3,5については正に有意であり,6については正に有意傾向であった。上記の調査研究に加え,指導と評価に関する教師の具体的な取組についての記述式の質問紙調査を実施し,得られた回答を整理した。
