米国ブルックヘブン国立研究所RHIC加速器における核子間衝突エネルギー√<SNN>=200GeV(RHIC加速器最高エネルギー)での金原子核-金原子核衝突反応を用いて、PHENIX実験を推進し、加速器の性能向上、実験のデータ収集能力向上、および実験の希事象選択トリガにより、積分輝度約240μb^<-1>(既存データの約10倍の高統計)という高統計の反応データ収集を完了して、物理解析を推進中である。これまでの研究成果から、RHIC加速器のエネルギー領域における金原子核-金原子核中心衝突事象では高温パートン物質の生成が確実視される。カイラル対称性の部分的回復およびハドロン質量起源の解明を目的に、収集した高統計電子陽電子対事象データを用いて、高温パートン物質中における軽いベクトル中間子(φ、ω、ρなど)の収量および質量状態の衝突中心度依存性の精査を進めている。金原子核-金原子核および重陽子-金原子核衝突データを用いて、軽いベクトル中間子測定に特化した電子同定法最適化を推進し、高い生成粒子多重度のために信号対背景雑音比の悪化する金原子核-金原子核衝突反応においても、φおよびω中間子の同定検出に成功した。また、比較対照過程の一つとなるφ中間子のK中間子対崩壊測定結果を、Physical Review C誌に公表した。広島大学において同大学院理学研究科附属の高エネルギー物理学データ解析実験施設およびスーパーサイネット接続の1.Gbps高速データ転送ネットワークから成る地域分散処理型データ解析環境の整備活用を進め、実験データの解釈に必須である関連物理過程の理解のために、理論模型に基づく模擬計算を実験データ解析と並行して行っている。
