In the first year (2005), the relation of the degree of the vascular construction and the quantity of plant horm one, the relation of the environment around the grafted seedlings and the quantity of proliferation of the cell were investigated. The flow rate through the vascular system was measured when the pressurized water was poured into the seedling for 10 minutes. The constructed effective vascular system was visualized for three dimension form by means of the pressurized dye absorption. The top views of grafted seedlings canopy were acquired with a digital camera. Then texture features of their wilting degree were calculated in order to establish curing environment control rule. In the second year (2006), an evaluation method of the joining degree between the scion and the stock was established by focusing attention on vascular reproduction. The flow ability was evaluated with fabricated instrumentation that was able to measure the quantity of water flow under the constant absorpt … More ion pressure with a hand operation vacuum pump. In addition, we formulated a method that the observation surface was denuded by girdling epidermis and/or cortical tissue of the stem. As a result, we found that this method was an easy processing in a short time to observe dynamically and continuously the reproduced effective vascular in detail. Aiming at automatically controlling the curing environment that performed joining and acclimation at the same time, the top views of non-grafted and grafted seedlings canopies were acquired. And then the features of their images were calculated. Compared acquired images with those features, when the big wilting was occurred, the seedling projection were decreased. This trend means the decrease of the projection area caused from the bending down of leaves. In the last year (2007), when the environment that worked the endogenous hormone such as the gibberellin auxin cytokinin for the vascular formation was applied to grafted seedlings, the joining rate of the grafted seedlings improved.
