平成17〜19年度において下記の研究を実施した。l.Gボール運動の学習プログラムの作成体育授業で展開するGボールを使ったバランス能力向上プログラムを考案、検討を行った。小学校低学年、中学年、高学年の各段階に応じた静的および動的バランスを向上させるような運動を選定し、単元計画を作成した。また、授業で使用する学習ノート、授業者となる教諭のための視覚的資料(Gボール運動のDVD)等の教具についてもあわせて作成した。考案の際に、Gボール指導経験をもつ小学校教諭に協力を依頼し、学習内容の吟味を行い、実際の授業で展開できる内容であるか、各学年の学習内容として体系化されているか、安全性等についての配慮がなされているかなどの検討を行った。2.バランス動作の変化小学生のGボール多年経験者と初心者を対象とし、Gボールでの座位姿勢におけるバランス持続時間と動作を分析した。その結果、上級者は初心者に比べてバランス持続時間が長く、腰部と膝部の角度が鋭角になるボールへの乗り込み動作が見られた。また、17〜19年度にかけて小学生のGボール授業においても単元前後のバランス動作の変化を測定した結果、どの学年及びクラスにおいても有意にバランス運動の持続時間が伸びる傾向にあった。また、動作についても単元後Gボールへの乗り込み動作が多く見られるようになった。3.Gボール授業の授業評価について17〜19年度にかけて小学生354名(2年生72名、3年生43名、4年生75名、5年生51名、6年生113名)を対象に、Gボールを使用した授業(4時間単元)を実施した。毎時間授業後に児童に質問紙法による形成的授業評価を実施した。その結果、各時間において高い評価が得られた。また、児童の自由記述からも「楽しかった。」「バランスがうまくとれるようになった。」「もっと頑張りたい。」等の授業に対する積極性や肯定的な内容が多く見られた。
