第1に、平成17年度と平成18年度の研究成果のうち、「理論面の展望と整備」に関する成果に制度面に関する考察を新たに加えて、研究ノート「食品・飲料品の地理的表示に関する経済学的考察」としてまとめ、『現代経営経済研究』第2巻第2号に掲載した。理論的には、(1)生産者が高品質の商品を生産する素地や環境が整っている場合、(2)消費者や管理団体が生産者の履歴に関する情報を有効かつ十分に知ることができる場合、(3)地理的表示が競争を阻害しない場合、(4)法的な執行により地域ブランドへの参入・退出が確保されている場合に、地域ブランドの社会的評価を高く保つことが可能になることがわかった。第2に、これまで収集した既存の実証研究を網羅的に再検討し、「集合的評判と品質の価格に及ぼす効果-ヘドニック法に基づく実証研究のサーベイ」(雑誌投稿中)としてまとめた。そこでは、集合的評判をあらわす原産地ダミーがワイン価格に及ぼす効果に関する先行研究に焦点を絞り、(1)集合的評判がワイン価格に有意かつ重要な説明力をもつことを肯定的に示した研究成果が多いこと、(2)生産者側の行動を分析した研究例が少ないこと、(3)従って、生産者の競争を阻害することにより独占的価格設定を可能ならしめていることが考慮されていないこと、を指摘した。第3に、今年度の中心テーマである「GIsが市場構造に及ぼす効果」については、欧州委員会本部への出張で入手した資料等をもとに、「食品・飲料品の地理的表示と競争政策」(仮題)として現在論文にまとめている。なお、今年度のもうひとつの中心テーマである「我が国の商品に関する実証分析」については、日本酒を分析対象として統計データの収集に努めてきたが、日本酒の「感覚的特性」と「長期的評判」をあらわす代理変数のデータの入手に難航しており、今後の研究課題として継続的にフォローしていきたい。
