平成18年度は、前年度に得たデータや資料を使用して、論文執筆を進めた。はじめに、アジア諸国において、銀行貸出に対し不動産価格の変動が影響を及ぼしたのかを分析した。本論文は、現時点ではワーキングペーパーの形式であるが、今後、査読付き雑誌に投稿の予定である。論文では、東アジア諸国において、不動産価格の変動が国内銀行の貸出行動に影響を与えたかどうかを、銀行の貸出行動についての動学モデルをもとに、上場銀行の財務データを用いたパネル分析で実証分析を行った。その際、危機前と危機後の違いにも注目した。また、本稿では、各国の貸出の際の不動産担保についての実態も調べている。推定の結果、銀行の貸出行動は危機の前と後では異なっていることが示唆された。マレーシアについては、危機前の期間では不動産価格の変動が、危機後の期間では金利の変動が、貸出に影響を及ぼしていた可能性が高い。シンガポールでは不動産価格と金利の変動が、危機後の期間において銀行貸出に影響を与えたと考えられる。タイでは危機後の金利の変動が銀行貸出に影響を及ぼしたことが示唆された。なお、類似の研究として、別の論文「東アジアの不動産価格と銀行対外債務の銀行貸出への影響」も公表したが、これは、不動産価格と銀行の対外債務が貸出に与える影響について、マクロデータおよび時系列の手法を用いて分析している。次に、アジア諸国における銀行の規律付けおよび銀行システムの改革についての研究を進めており、現在論文を作成中で、次年度において学会や研究会等で報告をする予定である。具体的には、タイおよびマレーシアに関して、主に銀行の規律付けや金融市場の機能と危機後の銀行再編の関係を、金利および株価のデータや昨年度に得た財務データを用いて分析している。これにより、危機前と後の金融市場の機能や、危機後の銀行システム改革についての政策的な示唆を得ることができる。
