研究目的:ピアカウンセリング受講者のもつ要素を明らかにすること。研究方法:思春期ピアカウンセリング事業に参加した高校生104名を対象に事業前後にアンケート調査を実施。調査内容:事業前(性別*、自尊感情10項目、共感性7項目、安易な交際の回避意識5項目*、意志伝達意識6項目*、性知識5項目*等)、事業後(事業前の*項目、本事業を行った方がよいと思うか、ピアカウンセラーに相談したいと思うか等)。分析方法:自尊感情、共感性、安易な交際の回避意識、意志伝達意識、性知識を得点化。得点が高いほど各意識や知識が高いことを示す。(1)事業前後の安易な交際の回避意識得点、意志伝達意識得点、性知識得点を対応あるt検定。(2)本事業を「行った方が良い」と回答した者と「行わない方が良い」「わからない」と回答した2群、ピアカウンセラーに「相談したい」と回答した者と「他の人に相談したい」「わからない」と回答した2群を設定し、各群と自尊感情・共感性・安易な交際の回避意識・意志伝達意識・性知識の得点をt検定。結果:(1)意志伝達意識得点は、前14.7(±3.0)点、後15.9(±3.3)点と5%有意に高くなった。知識得点は、前2.2(±2.0)点、後2.8(±1.8)点と5%有意に高くなった。安易な交際の回避得点は、前15.8(±3.4)点、後16.1(±3.9)点であり、有意差は認められなかった。(2)本事業を「行った方が良い」と回答した者は、自尊感情得点が5%有意で低く、事業後の性知識得点が5%有意で高かった。また、ピアカウンセラーに「相談したい」と回答した者は、事業前の意志伝達意識得点が5%有意で低かった。以上のことより、ピアカウンセリング事業を肯定的に受け止めている者は、自尊感情や事業前の意志伝達意識が低いという要素をもっていたといえる。これらの要素をもつ者は、相手の意見に影響を受けやすいと考えられることから、ピアカウンセリング事業を学校教育の中に取り入れることは、思春期の望まない妊娠の予防に効果的であることの根拠を得ることができたと考える。
