本研究では、アメリカ南西部における米墨国境地帯の文化的「境域」におけるチカーノとアメリカ先住民の文学について、これらの文学が、国境線で分断された故郷や大地とのつながりを求める先住民としての想像力を共有していることを明らかにした。特に、国内の研究成果が皆無に等しかったチカーナ文学の文学的想像力に注目し、チカーナと先住民文化の関係を明らかにする複数の研究論文を発表した。

The purpose of this study is to explore the territory of the culture in the south and west of the country, the territory of the culture of the Mexican border, the territory of the culture, the literature of the aborigines, the literature of the aborigines, and the border of the country. So there is a common understanding of the imagination of the aborigines.
