项目摘要

近世初期の本草書(植物誌)の成立には特にドイツのマインツにおいて15 世紀末に出版された一連の本草書が極めて重要な位置を占めている。しかしながらこれら文献資料の体系的な研究はヨーロッパ日本を問わずまだ手つかずの状態にある。本研究は文献学的方法により1)当時の本草書の主たる役割は医学書であったこと2)そこには中世の占星術的・呪術的説明と近世自然科学の実証的な記述の両方が混在していること3)本草書の理論は古代の医学者によって整備された「体液病理説」「四大説」に基づいていることを明らかにした。

In the early modern times, the establishment of herbal books (Flora) was particularly important. At the end of the 15th century, a series of herbal books were published. The research on the system of documentary data is in a state of being in Japan. This study is based on philological methods. 1) The main works of Chinese herbal medicine at that time are mixed with medical books. 2) The explanations of astrology in the middle ages are mixed with the descriptions of practical evidence in modern natural sciences. 3) The theories of Chinese herbal medicine are mixed with the theories of ancient medical practitioners.
