本研究では、日本と米国をはじめとした海外との携帯電話端末開発の比較により、顧客企業(通信事業者)向けのインタフェース・プロセスが、国内外間で異なることを示した。そのなかで、顧客の通信事業者の知識に依存しない汎用的な開発プロセスと、顧客に固有の知識とは明確に区別できることが明らかとなった。さらに、国内外間で違いはあるものの、顧客インタフェース・プロセスは、開発プロセスそのものではなく、むしろ戦略的な自社開発領域の設定と仕組み作りに求められるようになっていることが示された。

This study compares the development of mobile phone terminals in Japan and the United States, and shows the differences between domestic and foreign mobile phone terminals in customer enterprises (communication industry). The knowledge of the customer's communication industry depends on the development of the common use, the inherent knowledge of the customer is clearly distinguished. In addition, in the domestic and foreign countries, the company has set up and organized its own development field to meet the needs of customers, developers and developers.
