本研究では、視覚障害者教育と知的・肢体不自由者教育における、技術・職業的な教育の教材と教育方法の開発を行い、現実の特別支援学校(旧盲学校及び旧養護学校)で現実に教材として活用していける(教員が積極的に使えると判断できる)レベルでの教材と教育方法の開発を目指した。全国の特別支援学校(旧養護学校)へのアンケート調査、地域間格差を確認するための取材比較、障害者の就職訓練及び就職支援実態の取材、教科書分析による健常者と視覚障害者が学ぶ教育内容の比較、2年間に渡る教材の提供とそのモニター結果を集積した。

This study aims at the development of teaching materials and educational methods for the visually impaired, the visually impaired, the mentally disabled, the technically and vocational, and the special support schools (old blind schools and old maintenance schools). A nationwide survey of special support schools (old maintenance schools), identification of regional differences, comparison of materials, selection of materials for vocational training and vocational support for disabled persons, textbook analysis, comparison of educational contents for disabled persons and disabled persons, and accumulation of results of teaching materials for transition in two years.
