项目摘要

本研究課題は、資源管理で避けることのできない不確実性の問題を考慮した経済分析・資源管理の理論研究、そしてその理論を応用した実証研究を創出した。特に、日本では資源管理の経済分析は理論・実証の両面においてあまり研究がなされておらず、本研究課題は資源管理における経済分析の有効性と必要性を訴える良い契機になったと思われる。その理由は、以下のように纏められる。●本研究代表者が経済学を専門とする一方、本課題において受け入れ先となった研究室は数理生態学が専門であったため、学問の垣根を越えた独創的な研究に取り組めたこと。●本研究代表者は、生態学の知識は全く無かったが、日々の共同研究の中で彼らの思考方法を学び、また、生態学会や哺乳類学会など経済学者が参加することのない学会で、資源管理の経済分析の研究発表の場を持てたこと、そしてお互いを理解する機会を持てたこと。●生態学者との共同研究で、現在の社会が直面している資源管理問題をより深く理解でき、特に外来種管理における経済分析理論を構築できたこと。本研究課題を通して以上三点で述べた経験を得たのは、現実の資源管理政策を考える上でも大いに有用であった。特に、学問的違いを超えて多くのことを共有していることを理解でき、生態学者の方々からも経済分析の必要性を認知してもらえたと考えている。論文の投稿においても経済分析の研究でありながら、受け入れ先の指導教官である松田裕之教授の助言のもと、数理生態学・生物学の専門誌にも投稿しており、徐々に良い結果を得つつある。
