项目摘要

前年度に引き続き、古典主義から啓蒙期にかけてのフランスを中心として、藝術の道徳上の位置づけがどのようになされたのかについて研究をおこなった。具体的には、まず17世紀後半の宗教思想家ボシュエによる図像崇拝擁護論を検討課題とし、その成果を論文にまとめた(≪Bossuet et le culte des images≫)。そこでは、対プロテスタントの論争を背景とする複数のテクストの分析をつうじて、宗教上の観点から為される藝術(この場合は絵画と彫刻)の擁護が、図像への崇拝と神への崇拝の一体性を確保するという要請するという要請の帰結として、逆説的にも、作品のものの効果を理論上はほとんど無化する理路と相即することを示した。また、研究ノート(思惟の罪)では、精神分析家ジャック・ラカンによるサド読解のなかに現れた「停止快(delectatio morosa)」の概念を手がかりとし、近世の決疑論へと遡りつつ、作品への快があくまでも想像的な「表象の快」と定義されることで、道徳を侵犯する仮構作品の権利が一定の枠内で擁護されるにいたった理路を歴史的に概観した。以上二点の研究発表をつうじて、道徳神学の内部における藝術についての理論的考察について、とくに作品のもたらす効果の相対的な縮減という観点から検証し、古典主義における道徳理論と啓蒙期の美学理論との接点と隔たりを新たに理解するための基盤を整えたものと考える。
