Community structure and conservation of the islands in the Ryukyu Archipelago with special reference to Iriomotejima Island

阐明了伊里奥莫特岛内各种生理、生物学特征的环境变化，以及伊里奥莫特岛猫的活动方式。并分析了它们之间的关系。现在和过去都对自然活动(蝙蝠、鸟类、植物)和人工活动(青蛙、乌龟、植物)进行了调查。根据这些结果，从海岛环境的变化、海岛的起源、海岛之间的特殊关系和历史关系、海岛群落的原生性等方面讨论了影响海岛群落和生物多样性的因素。

Environmental variations of the physical and biological features within Iriomote Island, and the movement pattern of the Iriomote cat were clarified. And the relationship between them was analyzed. Natural movement (bats, birds, plants) and artificial movement (frogs, turtles, plants) were investigated both at present and in the past. From these results, the factors affecting island community and biodiversity were discussed in terms of variation of islands environments, its origin, special and historic relationship among islands, and indigenousness of island community.
