視覚障害者にコンピュータを指導する上で不可欠となるコーシピュータに関する知識、支援技術に関する知識と技能、視覚障害教育において求められる専門性に立脚した指導方法を明らかにし、指導者養成のための基準となる手引書を開発することが本研究の目的であった。研究の最終年度に当たる本年度は、以下のことを行った。・情報活用能力に基づく問題解決力を高めることがコンピュータ教育の目的であることを明らかにした。・視覚障害生徒がコンピュータを学習するうえで初等教育段階で習得すべきことを明らかにした。・視覚障害生徒にコンピュータを教えるうえで指導者があらかじめ学んでおかなければならないこと、必要な準備を明らかにした。・コンピュータを学習するうえで視覚障害生徒が直面する障壁を具体的かつ理論的に示し、その障壁を乗り越えるための指導方法を提示した。・コンピュータ教育における触覚教材の重要性を明らかにした。・コンピュータ教育において指導すべき内容を基本から応用まで網羅的にまとめた。・最新の支援機器についての情報を整理した。・ロービジョンの生徒への指導方法を整理した。以上を踏まえ、視覚障害生徒向けコンピュータ教育指導書の作成を行った。またそれを実際に、筑波大学附属視覚特別支援学校の中学部の「自立活動」および高等部の「情報」の授業で用い、その教育効果を測定した。
