本研究では, ネットワークの光化において伝送・処理後の光信号の信頼性を確保するために, 光信号が被る様々な歪みの持つ時間および周波数の二次元性に着目して研究を行い, 時々刻々変化するアドホックな歪みを持つ高いビットレートの光信号列に対する歪み補償に関する原理の確認に成功した. また, 国内および米国における関連特許の受理により, 権利化に成功するとともに, その独自性が国際的にも認められた.
