本研究は、群馬県内の南米系外国人集住地域において、外国籍住民と日本人住民、関係者が研究者と協働で『子供の健康づくり』の観点で課題を共有し、有効な活動方法を見出していく参加型アクションリサーチである。1年目は日本移住者が多いブラジルサンパウロ州を訪問し、子供の教育と保健医療体制、出稼ぎ状況について理解を深めた。2、3年目は、群馬大学主催の在日外国人学校健康診断を中心に、外国籍住民や関係者の意向調査や協議を通じて、今後の方策を検討した。
