Development of Pregnancy Registration System Using the Maternal and Child Health Handbook in Cambodia and Its Effectiveness Evaluation

这项研究的目的是编写柬埔寨版的《妇幼保健手册》，通过该手册改善孕妇和育儿母亲的产前护理服务、熟练助产士接生和保健知识。编写的妇幼保健手册受到母亲和保健专业人员的广泛接受。与对照组相比，SBA干预组的产前护理出勤率和分娩率增加更多。干预区孕产妇对妊娠和分娩风险、贫血、驱虫和艾滋病毒/艾滋病知识的增加程度高于对照组。健康行为的改变不如知识的改变显著，提示手册的间接影响。

This study aimed to develop Cambodian version of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Handbook, through which improving antenatal care attendance, delivery with skilled birth attendants (SBA) and health knowledge among pregnant women and child rearing mothers. The developed MCH handbook was well accepted among mothers and health professionals. Antenatal care attendance and delivery rate with SBA were increased more in the intervention than in the control area. The increase of maternal knowledge on risks during pregnancy and delivery, anemia, deworming and HIV/AIDS were greater in the intervention than in the control area. The change of health behavior was not as significant as that of knowledge, suggesting the indirect effect of the handbook.
