项目摘要

米国カルフォルニア州北部、アラスカ州南部、およびカナダのバンクーバー島に分布する海成白亜系を対象に野外地質調査を実施し、古地磁気層序と大型・微化石層序の解析を行った。その結果、カルフォルニア州北部において、バレレミアン階からチューロニアン階までのほぼ連続的な海成白亜系層序を識別した。また、上記地域の海成白亜系中の大型軟体動物群と冷湧水起源炭酸塩岩に伴われる化学合成貝類群集を記載し、その意義を考察した。

Field geological survey of marine paleomagnetic sequences and analysis of large and microfossil sequences in northern and southern parts of Alaska and Alaska.
