平成19年度は、18世紀前半〜19世紀前半のチベットにおける駐蔵大臣の動向について検討を進め、具体的に次の点を確認した。第一に、18世紀後半において駐蔵大臣がダライラマとの会見の際に叩頭礼を行っていたこと、叩頭礼に関する史料がパンチェンラマ3世の死(1780年)から第一次グルカ戦争(1788年)の間にしか見られないこと、グルカ戦争に善後処理が行われ、駐蔵大臣とダライラマが同等の地位にあることを定めた「欽定二十九条章程」の制定後、駐蔵大臣にダライラマへの叩頭礼停止の命令が下ったことを確認した。これにより、ダライラマと駐蔵大臣が大転世僧と施主(皇帝)の代理人という関係にあり、仏教的コンテクストの中で、実質的にダライラマの権威が駐蔵大臣を上回っていたこと、この関係が「欽定二十九条章程」制定後に大きく変化したことを明らかにした。第二に、1805-1806年における2名の駐蔵大臣相互の弾劾事件に関する満文・漢文の梢案史料を収集し、この時期の駐蔵大臣任用に関する人事方針が18世紀末とは異なっていたこと、この違いをチベット有力者も認識し、憂慮していたことを確認した。第三に、1814年における駐蔵大臣とダライラマの席次をめぐる争いに関する漢文梢案史料を収集し、この時期になると駐蔵大臣の人事に関する方針の変化が決定的となり、駐蔵大臣のダライラマに対する敬意が失われつつあったことを確認した。本研究全体を通じて、18世紀後半から19世紀前半にかけて、駐蔵大臣のダライラマに対する尊崇の念が形式的にも、また実質的にも薄らいでいき、それにともなって清朝・チベット関係も悪化していったことが明らかになった。

Second, in 1805-1806, the two resident ministers exchanged impeachment incidents, and the personnel policies related to the appointment of resident ministers in this period were collected. At the end of the 18th century, the powerful people realized and worried about the impeachment incidents. In the third year of 1814, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China participated in the discussion. The whole study was carried out from the second half of the 18th century to the first half of the 19th century, and the ministers stationed in the Qing Dynasty were honored and respected in the form of official documents.
