今年度は平成20年3月に提出した博士論文の内容をより発展させた研究を行った。博士論文の内容は大きく分けると四つあり、一つ目は住宅の間取り情報の情報としての効率性をはかるために情報エントロピーを適用し評価したが、平成20年度中の期間はその評価する項目をさらに増やした分析を行い、投稿論文にまとめる作業を行った。2つ目は一般の消費者を対象に心理実験を行い(対象者約95名)その結果や、一緒に行ったアンケートから消費者の嗜好を導きだすものであるが、平成20年度中の期間は結果のさらに詳細な分析と、博士論文では使用しなかったアンケート結果も含めて3本の投稿論文にまとめる作業を行った。そのうち一本は「Perception and Conceptualization of House Floor Plans:An Experiment al Analysis」と題して、「Environment&Behavior」に投稿し、査読中である。あとの2つの内容については今後行う計画である。新しい研究内容としては、日照が間取りの形状の変化と季節によってどう変化するのか、またライフスタイルにあった日照条件(間取りの形状、方角、開口部の大きさなど)はどのようなものかということを日照プログラムとヒアリングから得られる人々の嗜好やライフスタイルからシミュレーションを行っている。この研究によって日照条件の情報が方角だけでなく、形状や開口部の広さといった新しい観点から提供することができるようになる。
