项目摘要

社会的交換関係における互恵的利他行動は、自己利益以外の"目標関数"を取り入れた社会的選好(社会心理学では"社会的価値志向性")の観点から説明されることが多いが、本研究課題では、社会的交換の領域に特定的な心理メカニズムの働きによるという、ヒューリスティック・アプローチを採用し、協力行動の"領域特定性"の観点から総合的に捉えなおすことを目的としている。社会的選好は、状況にかかわらず個人内で比較的安定しているとされているが、近年、利他行動が状況依存的であるという結果が数多く示されており、社会的選好による説明は、大きな困難に直面しているといえる。上述の互恵的利他行動の状況依存性が、実験ゲームに代表される対人関係状況における適応行動の違いに基盤があることを明らかにすることを目指し、以下の研究を実施した。実験参加者が実験ゲーム状況をどのような適応領域に属する状況として認知するかに関する個人差を測定可能な質問項目や尺度を開発するために、囚人のジレンマ実験を実施し、そこで測定された協力行動と関連する対人関係・状況認知などを測定する項目を調べた。その結果、直面する対人関係状況を、相互依存性のある社会的交換と認知しやすい参加者ほど協力傾向が強いことが示された。さらに興味深いことに、逆三角に並んだ三点を用いて自由な絵を描く課題において、人間の顔を描く参加者ほど協力率が高かった。黒丸の三点から人間の顔を発想するような、エージェンシーへの感受性が高い人は、協力行動を選択しやすいだけでなく、状況を社会的交換関係と認知する傾向も強かった。
