本研究ではソーシャルネットワークを用いた情報推薦技術に関する研究を行う。利用者にとって価値のある情報を発見し届けるには,情報の価値を計量する方法,発信者や受信者の社会的関係を捉え利用する方法が重要である。本研究ではここでソーシャルネットワークに着目する。そして課題として,情報推薦のためのソーシャルネットワークの分析と,ソーシャルネットワークを用いた情報推薦アルゴリズムおよびシステムの研究開発の二つを挙げている。平成19年度は,ソーシャルネットワークをべースとしたコミュニティ支援システムを6月に開催された第21回人工知能学会全国大会にて運用した。ここにおいてソーシャルネットワークを用いた推薦システムの試験運用を行った。また,人と人との多様な関係性をシステムが理解するための一手法として,ユーザによる人へのタグ付けを利用する方法についても検討した。さらに平成18年度に試験運用した人による紹介を支援するシステムについて,特に人と人との社会的関係に着目して分析を行った。本システムはソーシャルネットワークを利用して新しい出会いを希望する人に対して紹介者を推薦するシステムであるが,このとき,どのような人が紹介者として適しているのか,また,その支援はどのように行われるのが望ましいのかという点について,紹介を希望する人,紹介を行う人,そして紹介される人によって構成される三者関係のパターン(今回は特に三者が属する所属の関係を利用)を元に分析を行った。
