本年度は、大きく分けて、1.需要が複数の要因に左右される商品の需要予測方法の改良、2.離散制御工学的視点での発注量・発注時期の同時決定 の二点に関する研究を行った。まず1.に関しては、曜日など需要を左右するいくつかの特性を、ダミー変数を用いて表現し、ダミー変数を含む重回帰式の予測区間の上限値を、需要量の予測値として用いる方法を検討した。ダミー変数に取り込む需要特性としては、曜日依存性などの既知かつ規則的な変動の他、特売などの既知のイベント、あるいは天候などの不確定性のある要素なども考慮することができる。このため、前年度に行った、需要特性の類型化に基づく方法よりも、予測に必要な実績値のサンプル数をさらに減らすことができ、またこれまで平日のみに行っていた特売を、休日に行おうとした場合など、過去の実績値が存在しない場合の予測も行えるようになるなど、当該手法の適用範囲が大きく拡大した。次に2.に関しては、在庫数を状態変数、納品数を入力変数、販売数を外力とみなし、在庫数の変動を現代制御理論における状態空間表現で表現したのち、初期在庫を状態変数の初期値、販売数を上記1.で提案した方法に基づいて算出し、最適な納品数を求める方法を検討した。欠品が発生せず、納品リードタイムが既知である時には、納品数が求まれば適切な発注数が求められる。導出された状態空間表現を用い、平均在庫量を目的関数とすると、発注量の決定問題は、本質的に目的関数を最小化する一種の整数計画として定式化されることが明らかになり、その解析的な最適解を導くことができた。
