高温高圧条件下で岩石試料のVpとVsを精密に測定可能とする装置を開発し,地殻構成岩石の部分融解条件において弾性波速度測定実験を行った。部分融解が弾性波速度に及ぼす影響を実験的に明らかにした。珪酸塩メルトや超臨界フルイド流体相のポアソン比やVp/Vs比への影響評価を行い、東北日本の火山フロント地域の最上部マントルから火山直下まで連続して分布する低速度異常帯のポアソン比やVp/Vs比の特性から、火山帯直下の地殻構造と珪酸塩メルトの存在量を推定した。
