项目摘要

By analysis of the 18th century catalogues of law books, it became clear that the popular law books market had been materialized since the Act for turning the law books into English in Commonwealth period. The stability of the rule of law in the 18th century England might partly depend on this diffusion of the popularized legal knowledge to countryside. On the other hand, the market of scientific writings was narrow and they are circulated in manuscripts. Among them, the group of posthumous-works by Baron Gilbert published anonymously offered the materials to Commentaries and the matrix to Legal Encyclopedia.

通过对18世纪法律书籍目录的分析，可以看出，自英联邦时期法律书籍英译法颁布以来，普及性法律书籍市场已成为现实。18世纪英国法治的稳定可能在一定程度上取决于这种普及的法律知识向农村的传播。另一方面，科学著作的市场很狭窄，它们以手稿的形式流通。其中，吉尔伯特男爵匿名出版的一组遗作将材料提供给评论，将矩阵提供给法律百科全书。
