我々が立ち上げた国内唯一のI-Xe 年代測定装置を用いて、太陽系初期の惑星形成史を解明するため、非平衡コンドライトや太陽風を含む角礫岩質コンドライトの年代を調べた。この結果、多くのコンドライトが炭素質コンドライトより2000-5000 万年後にリセットされたことを示しており、この間に母天体で水質変質などの変成作用が継続したことが分かって来た。また、中性子照射されたこれら試料に含まれる微量ハロゲンの定量も可能になってきた。
