現在の雷インパルス電圧校正器は対象とする負荷は1MΩ程度の高い内部インピーダンスを有するディジタル・レコーダなどが想定されており, 雷インパルス電圧波形測定システムのような低インピーダンス負荷に電圧をインがすることが出来ない。この問題を解決する手法として, 10kΩ以下の負荷が繋がれた状態でも, 1000V程度の校正波を発生できる校正器を製作し, 発生波形を直接ディジタル・レコーダに取り込むと同時に, 測定システムに印加しその低圧部信号をディジタル・レコーダで記録し, 記録された2つの波形を比較することにより, 測定システムの応答性能を評価できることが出来るようにした。製作された校正器は, 測定ケーブルの信号変歪特性の測定に使用され, 顕著な効果を確認した。
