本研究は、日本、中国、韓国、台湾のアジア諸国を対象とした、システムダイナミクスを用いた、2050 年までの鋼材需給に伴うアジア諸国における鉄源の需給とマテリアルフロー評価モデルの開発を行った。各国における将来の鋼材需要量を、ロジスティック曲線を用いて予測した。土木・建築および自動車の鋼材需要予測に関しては、国別地域別に人口密度を考慮することで、鋼材蓄積量の飽和値の地域性の違いを反映させた。
