Mental Health Status Among School Students from Foreign Countries. An Epidemiological Study Conducted in A City with A Large Community of South Americans.

一般的な予想に反して、欧米諸国における移民(難民を除く)の子どものメンタルヘルスの水準は、移住先の現地の子どもと比べて低くない。しかし、この見解は、近年のわが国における外国籍の、特に外国人集住都市の子どもたちの実態と一致していないのではないかと考えられる。なぜなら、現在の我が国には、移民のニーズ、特に子どもたちの教育ニーズを満たすことが難しい状況にある。そこで、我が国における外国籍の子どもたちのメンタルヘルスを多面的に調査する必要性を踏まえ、浜松市内の外国人学校(全校生徒約100名、0〜10年生が在籍)をフィールドとして、面接を交えた自記式調査を行った。その結果、同校に一定期間在籍した42名の児童のうち、およそ45%に抑うつ傾向があることが示唆され、この数値は、我が国の代表的な調査よりも明らかに高いものと考えられた。一方、多動性や暴力志向性(外在化傾向)を示す児童はおよそ10%程度であった。また、抑うつ傾向や外在化傾向と来日してからの年数の間に相関は見出されなかった。面接調査では、発達障害を背景とした重度の抑うつを有する児童が見出され、抑うつが時に発達障害への懸念の中に埋もれてしまうことも示唆された。本調査には、サンプル数の規模の限界、限定的な調査対象など、いくつかの問題点がある。このため、結果の解釈に当たっては十分な注意が必要である。しかしながら、抑うつ傾向の広がりが深刻であることは確実であり、今後の介入方法の詳細な検討が急がれる。

In general, the level of migration in Europe and the United States is lower than that in Europe. In recent years, foreign nationals and special foreigners have been living in cities where they are concentrated. We are now in the midst of immigration and education. Therefore, in view of the need to conduct a multi-faceted investigation of the children of foreign nationals in our country, a self-recorded survey was conducted in Hamamatsu City's Foreign School (with about 100 students in the school, all students in the 0 - 10 year old) in an open and face-to-face manner. The results show that 42 children in the same school have a tendency to decline during a certain period of time, and the number of children in the same school has a tendency to decline. One party, multiple activity and violence (externalization tendency) show that children are not interested in sex. The tendency to externalize is related to the number of years in the future. In the face of investigation, the background of the problem is serious, and the child is exposed to the problem. This investigation is related to the scale of the survey, the limit of the number of survey objects, and the problem points of the survey. The result is very important. A detailed discussion of future intervention methods is urgent.
