We analyzed vesicular GABA transporter heterogenic(VGAT+/-) mice to find out the rule of GABA and glycine. The mice are seemed to have less release of GABA and glycine from presynaptic sites. We studied anesthetic sensitiveness and to examine sensory performance, acute nociception and inflammatory pain tests were compared between WT mice and VGAT+/- mice. Also we examined GABAergic and glycinergic miniature inhibitory postsynaptic currents (mIPSC) by electrophysiological properties. The time to anesthetic effect nor the duration of anesthetic effect were compared between wild-type (WT) mice and VGAT+/- mice. To test the sensory performance at the supraspinal level, we measured the latency to jumping or licking from the hotplate set at 52℃. To examine about inflammatory pain signaling, we used the formalin test. Now we examine GABAergic and glycinergic mIPSC and compare abut decay and frequencies in two currents of both genotypes.
