トランスポート層プロトコルTCPを考慮した大規模ネットワークの性能解析手法を提案した。また、提案手法を用いて、大規模ネットワークの性能解析を行った。その結果、ネットワーク内部のルータのバッファサイズを小さくした場合、ネットワーク内部を通過しないTCPコネクションが、ネットワーク内部を通過するTCPコネクションから帯域を奪うことを明らかにし、ネットワーク内部のルータのバッファサイズは小さくすべきでないことを示した。
