分解型工程を有する素材型産業を対象とした,生産スケジューリング手法とスケジューリング・システムの研究を行った。まず,鋼板製造工程を,多段階ハイブリッドフローショップとしてモデル化し,問題の定式化を行った。次に,ディスパッチング・ルールとメタ戦略による手法を開発した。また,生産計画とスケジューリングの統合手法を開発した。これらの成果を元に,Web 技術を活用したスケジューリング・システムの開発を行った。
