単純なおよび複雑な視覚刺激を用いて盲点補完の正確さを主に検討した。それらの結果から、盲点補完は先行知識から生じる正確さを反映しないことが示された。一方で、盲点補完は盲点周辺の視覚情報を自動的に補完しているわけではないことも示唆された。本研究から、盲点の片側に提示された刺激の補完が生じることおよび盲点において物体が補完されることという新しい知見が得られた。
