電子線照射により欠陥を与えたイオン結晶表面上に蒸着した単結晶銀薄膜の初期成長過程について, イオンビームを用いた手法により解明することを目的とし, 欠陥が生成されたイオン結晶表面の構造解析を行った。高速イオンビームを用いた, イオン結晶表面の形状変化の観察結果から欠陥が誘起した表面格子歪みが起きている可能性が示された。またイオン散乱シミュレーションを行なった結果, 表面の構造変化について定性的な説明ができることがわかった。
