今期は、論文の執筆と発表を中心に研究活動を行った。まず、近代イギリスにおける下級官吏の協働意識と官僚制度改革の関係について考察した論文を『歴史学研究』に投稿した。査読の結果、今回は不採用となったが、指摘された点を修正し大幅に書き改めた上で再投稿を検討する。続いて指昭博(編)『はじめて学ぶイギリスの歴史と文化』(仮)(ミネルヴァ書房,刊行未定)に、「学校・教育」に関するコラムを執筆した。さらに今年度は、研究目的の柱のひとつに掲げていた「メリトクラシーを支える社会思想とその変容」に関する研究を進めた。その成果が、近現代イギリス社会におけるメリトクラシー観の変遷について考察した「メリット大国イギリス-近現代におけるメリトクラシー観の変遷-」である。現在、この論考は千葉歴史学会が主催する学術雑誌『千葉史学』で、投稿論文として査読を受けている。もう一つの柱である「海外におけるイギリス官僚制度改革への関心、影響」に関しては、『史林』第94巻第6号に論文「近代イギリス官僚制度改革史再考-調査委員会と官僚たちの同床異夢-」を掲載し、本国の官僚自身の改革に対する動きや思惑を踏まえた官僚制度改革史の再検討を行った。また受入研究者である金澤周作(京都大学)との、「旧き腐敗」に関する議論で得た着想から、「バトロネジの「終焉」-近代イギリスにおける官僚制度改革と能力主義の浸透-」を、『パブリックヒストリー』第9号の特集に執筆した。さらに日本アイルランド協会が発行する学術雑誌『エール』第31号の特集に「帝国の中の「アングロ・アイリッシュ」-マルタの教育改革でP.J.キーナンが果たした役割について-」を寄稿した(日本アイルランド協会の学会誌、『エール』編集部の都合で論文掲載号の発刊が遅れているため、2011年度の業績として申請はするが、頁番号を付すことができない)。

This issue is about the writing of papers and the development of research activities. The relationship between the consciousness of cooperation among junior officials and the reform of bureaucratic system was investigated and the paper was submitted to the "historical research". The results of the survey are not available today, and the points are corrected. The book is revised and resubmitted. The author of this article is entitled "History and Culture"(edited by Zhao Bo),"School and Education"(unpublished). This year, the research goal of the column is to reveal the relationship between social thought and social content. The achievements of the modern society are discussed in the article "Great Power-Modern Society". Now, the discussion of the Chiba History Society has been promoted by the academic journal "Chiba History" and submitted papers have been accepted. "A Review of the History of Bureaucratic System Reform in Modern China-Different Bedfellows of Investigation Committee Bureaucrats" is published in Shi Lin, Volume 94, No. 6. The author of Special Collection No. 9,"Bureaucracy Reform and Penetration of Competence","The End of Modern Times","The End of Modern Times","The End of Old Times Corruption","The End of Modern Times Corruption","The End of Old Times Corruption","The End of Modern Times","The End of Modern Times","and the End of The Japanese Academy of Social Sciences published a special edition of the journal No. 31, entitled "Education Reform in the Empire".(Journal of the Japan Association of Science and Technology, Publication of Papers Published by the Editorial Department of the Japan Association of Science and Technology, Annual Results of 2011, Application, Page Number).
