本年度は下記のごとく、3本の論文を発表し、2度の口頭報告を行った。論文(1)「一九世紀初頭の幕藩関係.留守居-件を素材として-」論文(2)「領知判物・朱印状の作成と殿中儀礼-家慶期を事例として-」論文(3)「八王子千人頭・同心の身分について-近世前・中期を中心に-」報告(1)「近世後期の内願と幕藩関係-熊本細川家の対鑓・先箱願一件を素材として-」報告(2)「仙石騒動における御預人の処遇と幕藩関係-岡山藩を素材として-」論文(1)と(2)は昨年度、それぞれ当該学会の編集委員より「修正の上、掲載」という回答を得ていたものである。論文(1)・(2)ともに、編集委員からの「修正」要望になかなか応えられず、修正に多くの日数を要したが、粘り強く修正を繰り返し、「掲載」という結果を得ることができた。なお論文(1)・(2)は、何度も修正したものの、大枠については変わりない。そのため論文(1)・(2)で明らかにした成果については、昨年度の「研究実績の概要」を参照されたい。また論文(3)は、昨年度より参加している『八王子市史』編纂事業について、その成果の一端をまとめたものである。論文(3)では、千人頭の身分は旗本だが、旗本としての格式は先行研究が指摘する明暦3年(1657)以前から与えられていなかったこと、千人同心を務める者は在職中、抱席の御家人(1代限り)として扱われたが、離職と同時に百姓など元の身分に戻る存在であったこと、などを明らかにした。報告(1)は、熊本細川家が対鑓と先挟箱の所持を幕府に認めてもらうため、幕府役人に対してどのような政治工作を行ったのか、その実態について検討したものである。また報告(2)では、岡山藩が未決囚の拘束機関として、どのように機能していたのかについて分析した。報告(1)と(2)は、大目付が幕政上においてどのような役割をはたしていたのか、それを明らかにするため、幕政上の最重要案件である幕府と藩との関係について考察を加えたものである.
