1.・博士論文執筆(継続中)研究課題に基づき、(a)1919年以降のオーストリア近代デザイン運動の変遷、(b)政治的変化とデザイン様式の関係、(c)オーストリア近代デザインの国際性を明らかにすることを目的に、博士論文執筆に着手した。執筆中に1914年以前の動向の重要性を再認し、論文の対象時期を1900年代～1910年代に修正した。これまでの研究成果として、(a)(b)に関し、この時期のフランスやドイツとの近代化競争の中で、運動の中枢であった「ウィーン工房」(Wiener Werkstatte)、「オーストリア工作連盟」(Osterreichischer Werkbund)の手工芸的仕上がり、及び華麗な装飾的作風が、「オーストリアらしさ」として国内外で認識されていった様相を明らかにした。また、この時デザイン関係者の間では、ものづくりにおける経済性と芸術性の両立が意図されていた様子を確認した。(c)に関わり、ウィーン工房の影響を受けた現ポーランド領クラクフの「クラクフ工房」の活動から、ウィーンを通じた中欧へのヨーロッパ近代デザイン理念の広がりを検証した。1919年の国家独立以前のオーストリア領ポーランドでは、国民様式の形成よりも素材・技法の適正と実用性に基づく日用品生産が優先されていた。11月から12月にかけて主・副指導教官より詳細な指導を受け、2月には他大学の教授からも研究内容に関する教示を得た。指導を基に、平成25年5月現在、論文執筆を継続している。2.現地調査(オーストリア、チェコ)5月にウィーン、ブルノ、オロモウツの美術館、国会図書館等で、ウィーン工房、オーストリア工作連盟関係者の手稿、作品、資料を閲覧・収集した。両機関で主導的役割を果たしたヨーゼフ・ホフマンの生家で現博物館であるヨーゼフ・ホフマン・ハウス(ブルノ近郊)を訪れ、同館キュレーターと面談できたことは特に有意義であった。ホフマンの装飾への愛好が、彼のモラヴィア、ボヘミア地方の伝統工芸コレクションからも確認できた。

1.·Ph.D. thesis writing (middle) research topics: (a) the evolution of the modern political movement since 1919,(b) the relationship between political transformation and political patterns,(c) the international nature of the modern political movement since 1919, and (d) doctoral thesis writing. The importance of the trend before 1914 in the writing process is reconfirmed, and the corresponding period of the paper is revised from 1900s to 1910s. These research achievements include: (a)(b) the close relationship between the period and the modernization competition, the center of the movement, the "Wiener Werkstatte," the "Osterreichischer Werkbund," the handcraft style, and the style of gorgeous decoration. The relationship between time and time is confirmed by time and time. (c)The influence of the workshop is affected by the activities of the workshop, and the communication between the workshop and the modern workshop is proved. Before the independence of the country in 1919, priority was given to the formation of national patterns, materials, techniques, suitability and usefulness of basic commodities.
