项目摘要

本年度は、次の3つの研究内容を実施した。第一に、本研究の第二の課題「軍馬資源保護法の立案過程と施行実態」に関する資料収集と分析を行なった（本年度交付申請書・研究実施計画の２）。まず国会図書館・農林水産関係試験研究機関の各図書館・防衛研究所史料閲覧室などを来訪して、中央レベル（陸軍省と農林省）における同法の立案過程に関する資料を収集した。次に分析対象地である東北地方の図書館・文書館・資料館などへの調査旅行を5回実施し、地方レベルにおける同法の施行実態に関する資料を収集した。特に青森県の十和田市郷土館と三沢市先人記念館では、従来の研究で用いられていない戦時下の陸軍と民間牧場の1次史料を新たに発掘することが出来た。その他、史料的価値をもつ関連古書を適宜購入した。以上3つの方法によって必要となる資料はおおむね確保でき、それらの資料の整理と分析も行なった。第二に、5月に中国・南京農業大学で開催された日中韓農業史国際学会において、個別報告を行なった（同上計画の３）。この報告を通じて、本研究のテーマ「戦時下東北地方における軍馬政策」と、将来に予定する研究テーマ「戦後の東北農業開発（戦後開拓・畜産地形成）」をつなぎ合わせる視点や論点を見出すことが出来た。第三に、本研究に間接的に関わるものとして、荒川章二ほか編『日本の軍隊を知る』（地域のなかの軍隊8基礎知識編、吉川弘文館、2015年6月）における論考「軍馬」の掲載、歴史学フォーラム2014の報告論文集への寄稿、日本獣医学史学会における口頭報告および同学会誌『日本獣医史学雑誌』への投稿・論文掲載の3つを行なった。いずれも、本研究による成果の一部を盛り込んだものとなっている。
