本研究は「社会集団における行動抑制とドーパミンシステムとの関連の解明」を目的としている。（Morgan et al, 2007）によって社会順位との関連が示唆されており、行動の抑制にも深くかかわるDRD2受容体に焦点を当てた計画である。主な研究内容は①ニホンザルのDRD2遺伝子多型における個体の行動的・生理的評価、②ニホンザルのDRD2遺伝子における多型出現頻度の調査、③ニホンザルのDRD2遺伝子多型と集団環境における個体の行動・社会的行動の評価である。申請時の年次計画では、本年度は①～③についてそれぞれ準備を進める段階であった。本研究において実験対象にしている本年度遂行した研究に関する詳細は以下である。１．ドーパミンD2受容体の個体の社会行動・社会順位への影響（薬理行動観察・行動実験）高順位のオスでは拮抗薬の投与時、攻撃的ディスプレイが減少、順位テストにおいても順位が下落する傾向が見られ、低順位のオスでは作動薬の投与時において攻撃的ディスプレイが増加、順位テストにおいて投与前よりも衝動的な行動をとる傾向がみられた。これらは社会順位の構成においてDRD2受容体の結合能と、それに関わる行動が強く影響することを示唆する重要な結果である。２．マカクザルにおける神経伝達物質関連遺伝子（DRD1、5HTTLPR）の多型調査とグループ内個体の社会順位との関連どちらの遺伝子多型についても先行研究においてアカゲザルにはヒトと類似した多型があるとされており、本研究においても多型がみられたが、ニホンザルには同様の多型がアカゲザルに存在する頻度と同等の頻度では存在しなかった。本研究のテーマの視点をもって産地系統とその環境、それぞれの神経伝達物質および行動にかかわる遺伝子の多型について検討してゆくことでまたさらに社会と神経伝達物質関連遺伝子の関連、その進化について新たな知見が得られると考えられる。
