本年度の研究概要技術導入のあり方がその後の企業の技術力および経営成果に及ぼした影響について、複数時代・複数事例を対象に比較した。昨年度までの研究内容を踏まえ、音楽産業(レコード産業)、石油化学産業の事例を詳細に検討し、考察を行った。(1)個別事例：各産業の創始期から成長・発展期を対象に、史料・文献を収集・調査し、重要技術の導入に際しての各企業の決定内容、過去の文脈、技術導入後の経営成果等について、定性的に概観した。音楽産業では、1920年代前半のアコースティック録音から電気録音への変革期、1940年代後半のLPレコード、テープ録音の登場期における技術導入の可否・技術選択が重要な焦点となった。石油化学産業では、戦後国内企業の本格参入におけるエチレン製造設備導入の際の技術選択、新規技術の導入・事業化等がその後の企業成長・経営成果の明暗を分けた。(2)産業間比較：①相違点　産業の競争構造に関して、音楽産業では、先発企業により技術・ソフト・販売チャネルの囲い込みを通じて参入障壁が築かれ、先発企業の競争優位性が長期的に維持された。一方石油化学産業では、政府により設備投資調整を通じて参入規制が行われたが、外国技術の導入によって参入が可能であった為、後発企業も先発企業同様の競争力を獲得することができた。②類似点　音楽産業、石油化学産業ともに、産業初期に実績のある技術を導入した企業は有利であった。また、一部の企業は、外資提携・技術導入の問題や技術の新規性等の理由により、自社で独自に重要技術の開発・工業化を必要とした。これらの企業は当初苦戦したものの、自社で技術を開発したがゆえに、その後技術力を向上させることとなった。その結果、長期的な競争優位性、経営成果を獲得した。(3)成果：論文3本、図書の分担執筆1本、学会発表2回において、成果の一部を公表した。
