项目摘要

本研究は『四親王家実録』（宮内庁書陵部蔵）を中心に、近世四親王家（伏見宮・桂宮・有栖川宮・閑院宮）の生活環境（建築・庭園とその利用の実態）に関する事跡を収集・整理・分析することによって、近世の宮家がどのような場で何を行っていたのかという「生活環境」の実態を復元的に考察・解明するものである。令和4年（2022）度の調査は『四親王家実録』のうち、平成31年度（2019～～令和3年（2021）度調査で未実見部分があった『有栖川宮実録』と『伏見宮実録』の調査を行う予定であったが、令和3年度に専任教員に新任したため学内業務が増えたことから、予定していた調査を計画通りに行うことができなかった。しかしながら、令和4年（2022）度は『伏見宮実録』の調査を可能な限り行った。『伏見宮実録』は刊本があることから、近隣の所蔵先である京都府立・歴彩館での調査を行ったが、全てを調査することはできなかった。令和4年（2022）度の調査は過去5カ年で調査を行った『桂宮実録』『閑院宮実録』『有栖川宮実録』『伏見宮実録』のデータ整理を進めた。また、「書陵部所蔵資料目録・画像公開システム」ならびに『和漢図書分類目録』、東京都立中央図書館貴重文庫室の『木子文庫』目録、東京大学史料編纂所データベース、『国書総目録』、京都府立京都学・歴彩館などを中心に、データベースの更新の有無の確認を行うとともに、近世の四親王家の生活環境を考察するために、旧浜離宮庭園や水前寺成趣園などの同時代の庭園の現地調査を行った。
