申請者の研究目標は、『泌尿器科癌における発癌の解明とそれに基づいたあたらしいバイオマーカーの発見および分子標的治療法の開発』である。今回の研究では、1) オーダーメイド医療を目指した宿主の遺伝子因子の解析からは、抗癌剤治療の副作用に関与する遺伝子の解明、2)骨代謝に関しては、前立腺癌患者の内分泌治療と骨密度の関係について、骨転移および微小転移の解明からはオステオプロテゲリン遺伝子と前立腺癌の進行について、3) あたらしい免疫療法の開発研究ではgammadelta T 細胞を用いた細胞治療について、4) 臨床データの解析からは、臨床データの解析から前立腺癌の再生検時の基準・危険因子などを報告した。
